We will be in historical downtown Las Vegas shortly to report on the Consumer Electronics Show for our sister blog “Technology Report”.
This is a great view of downtown Las Vegas with the Sal Segev (Las Vegas backwards!) in the foreground spelled backwards.
The Sal Segev was home to the Golden Gate Casino. The property is now known as the Golden Gate Hotel and it maintains a claim as the oldest of the Las Vegas Hotels.
The Golden Gate remains located at ONE Fremont Street. A recent a multimillion dollar renovation has restored some of the past glory of the property, which still uses Las Vegas history as a marketing theme. See more about the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino at http://www.GoldenGateCasino.com

Copied from JoeDuck blog comments section:
Golden Gate, eh? When telephone service first came to Las Vegas, its phone number was “1″.
They have a great Party Pit casino wherein young attractive females both deal and take turns dancing, but unlike other casinos the Blackjack stays at 3:2 rather than the stingy 6:5 that other Party Pits pay out.
Their Video Poker payouts are pretty good, the highest being 98.98 percent.
Their craps tables are 10x odds when almost half of Vegas tables are at or near 5x odds and some craps tables are shamefully down to 2x odds. Its often a three dollar minimum at the craps tables at Golden Gate, even at night. Drink service tends to be prompt but has been known to lag a bit at very busy times.
There are some interesting points in this clause but I dont know if I see all of them heart to eye . There is some validity but I will hold legal opinion until I look into it further. Good clause, thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well.
